with my friend Dianne - off we go!
I would like to teach workshops! if you'd like to hear my offerings, do get in touch. :)
I teach every term at PCC in Continuing Education, Cascade Campus. All skill levels welcome! Here is a course description: This noncredit class is focused on introducing students to the delights of wheel-thrown pottery and helping those who already know a little to fine-tune their skills. Students may explore a variety of techniques to working with clay including hand-building and using forms, but demonstration tends toward using the wheel as a tool. Form, surface, and intended use are discussed; there is also incidental conversation on pottery’s context in contemporary culture. This class is intended to be a playful forum for exploration and self-challenge. Process-based inquiry into an idea is encouraged, but replication of work for the express intention of later sale is not allowed. This class is taught by a studio potter with plenty of resources to guide students towards their final goal, whatever it may be. Please join us!
